Mark McFadden of Washington Fine Properties has sold the Evermay Estate for $22 million. The 3.5-acre Georgian Revival estate is an historic landmark dating from 1792. The 12,000 square foot house was built by Samuel Davidson, a businessman and international maritime merchant who once owned more than 150 acres of land in the heart of the city, land eventually occupied by the White House, Treasury, Old Executive Office Building and Lafayette Park.
