Professional Experience:
In 2005 Julia became a licensed real estate agent and began working with her mother, Mary Grover Ehrgood, on a part-time basis. Simultaneously, Julia worked for Carmen Group, Inc., Washington’s leading lobbying and consulting firm, as a registered lobbyist representing colleges and universities, charter schools, hospitals and healthcare providers before Congress and the federal government. In 2008 Julia received Carmen Group’s Proven Leader Award in honor of her personal and professional contributions toward advancing the excellence of the firm’s operations, performance and reputation. Previously, Julia worked as an intern for the Senate Finance Committee.
After three and one-half years in lobbying, Julia was faced with the decision of whether to continue her career in lobbying or pursue her long-time interest in real estate and decided to direct her career full-time to real estate. She is currently a Sales Associate in the office of Mary Grover Ehrgood at Washington Fine Properties (www.wfp.com/MaryEhrgood). Mary is a veteran real estate agent with over 30 years of experience in the Washington metropolitan area.
Julia is a third-generation Washingtonian. She grew up in Chevy Chase and currently lives in Cathedral Heights.
