Kay has a long history in the not-for-profit and strategic communications sectors. After graduating from Loyola College, Kay joined the Jesuit Volunteer Corps and managed the St. Joseph's Center "Bread and Roses" feeding program for the homeless in southern California. Having fulfilled her year-long commitment, she returned to her native Washington, D.C., to become involved in policy formulation, strategic communications, and lobbying efforts. Prior to joining Washington Fine Properties as a Sales Associate in 2005, Kay earned her Master's in Public Policy from Georgetown University, was a strategic communications consultant for PriceWaterhouseCoopers' government practice, and was a federal and state government relations representative for two science-based trade associations – the Biotechnology Industry Organization and the American Chemical Society.
Kay lives on the NW D.C. border in the Westgate/Westmoreland Hills neighborhood in Bethesda, MD, with her son, daughter and two dogs – a Newfoundland, "Sumo" and an Australian Shepherd, "Mojo."
